One of the things I will miss . . .

. . . is having cute little Johnny to watch over our little Jane! Look how sweet he is :)

I am also going to miss Johnny's mommy. Caroline has blessed my life more than she could ever know. I know that we were not "next door" neighbors by accident. Caroline if you reading this, I love you and your adorable little boy :)

2 Years and Exciting News . . .

Whhoo, a lot has happened for this new fam of three in the past month!

First, Jay and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary by taking a 3 day trip to downtown San Diego! We dropped off our baby Jane at my mom's house in Oceanside, on our way down then we were on our way :) We went to Balboa Park, shopped at Horton Plaza, and stayed at the super modern Se San Diego Hotel. We saw two movies and enjoyed eating out every meal! We definitely tried to take advantage of being child free for the weekend :)

My first time eating lobster :)
The biggest prawn we had ever seen!!

The elevator in the hotel had round pieces of wood in it. Different!

It's amazing how fast two years goes by. It feels like we just got married! Jay says he feels like we've been married much longer than two years. Hmmm, I hope that's a good thing . . . Well, all I can say is I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be married to such an incredible man. He makes me feel so special ever day. And in return I cook :)

And for the exciting news . . . Drumroll please . . . The big news is . . . Jay are moving to Texas!!!!!!!!! El Paso, to be exact. Where is El Paso you ask? Well, check out this map!
As you can see, good old El Paso is on the border of New Mexico, and Old Mexico :) Jay is transferring to a different location (same job) and the deal is, if we stay there for 3-4 years we have over 20 different cities to choose to live after that. So we decided to take the deal!!

So we'll be moving by the end of May!! I am very sad to be moving away from my family, some of my closest friends, and the best neighbors we've ever had. So I have to think of the positive things . . . like the opportunity to improve my Spanish!

Story & Pictures :)

I admit, I have been lagging on the posting of Baby Jane pics. But the wait is over! Jane is sleeping a little better now, and it gives me time to post while she sleeps :)

So, here is the Jane birth story along with pictures!

So, the day before her due date, I had a doc's appointment, only to find out that I was STILL not dilated AT ALL. This was the 3rd week in a row of the same news, and I was beginning to get very discouraged and nervous. My doctor suggested setting a date for induction, but I really didn't want to be induced, so I was able to push it back a week. Who new that I would have the baby two days later!

The next day was my due date, and started having mild contractions! I could definitely feel something was happening. By 4:00pm I had a feeling that our little girl would be making her debut sooner than later!

7:00 PM: stronger contractions about every 30 minutes.

10:00 PM: can't sleep, contractions every 8-10 minutes.

January 10th, 10:00 AM: contractions every 5 minutes for one hour

1:00 PM: contractions get painful!

1:30 PM: water breaks!

2:00 PM: admitted to hospital! Contractions every 2 minutes apart VERY PAINFUL! Dilated to a 4 :)

4:30 PM: epidural! Life is good

Here is a picture of me after getting my epidural. Gotta love the hair net right?! Life was so much nicer after I got the epidural, Jay says I was much nicer too :) Doctor's predict I will have the baby around mid-night.

8:25 PM: I start feeling a very strong urge to push! But nurses can't believe it! Nurses check, and in fact I am dilated to a 10 and ready to have this baby!! Nurses run to find the doctor.

8:35 PM The doctor barely makes it in time!! Our little girl is born :)

We named her Jane Marie. Jane after Jay's grandmother, and Marie is my middle name, and Jay really liked it with Jane :)

What a miracle. I still can't believe we have a daughter! I am enjoying every moment (hence the lack of posts), and just hope that I can be the best mother possible for our little Jane.

A Baby in 2010!

Although Jay and I have not had our baby yet, we are getting closer!! And I am glad that the shirt I bought him last Father's Day will be accurate!
But if our little girl is born after January 20th, this shirt will NOT be accurate :( Let's hope she is born before then!Let us know your guess by voting on your right! The winner, or winners will win the satisfaction of knowing they can predict births!! (And maybe an autographed picture our little girl)

Christmas with Lady Gaga??!!

Ok, so we didn't actually spend Christmas with Lady Gaga (obviously), but this is one of the gifts I got Jay for Christmas :) She was performing in Los Angeles on December 22, and since Jay and I are big Lady Gaga fans, I thought that tickets to her concert would be perfect! I guess you could say that we were a bit naive about how crazy Lady Gaga is. The night was definitely entertaining but also eye opening. Here is how everything went down that night :)

First we enjoyed a delicious meal at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion. Three words for this place, yum, yum, YUM!!!

From there we took a limo ride (included with the meal) to the concert! As soon as we walked in we noticed that about 50% of the people were dressed in some sort of Lady Gaga outfit. It was funny to see. But probably not as funny as seeing a 9 months pregnant woman at a Lady Gaga concert!
The "warm-up" act was . . . interesting. It was group called Semi Precious Weapons, which I had never heard of before, and now I know why. The lead singer came out dressed in drag, and at one point was only wearing COMPLETELY nude tights. Luckily we were far enough away so we were able to maintain a PG rated experience, or at least PG-13! But at one point he turned around we could see that he wasn't wearing any thing under the nude tights. EEEEKK! Their music was just as bad, if not worse! It was loud and obnoxious. And in between every song the lead vocalist said something containing the "F" word. We were feeling very out of place. But we pushed through, to see Lady Gaga :)
As soon as she came out everyone stood up, and remained standing for the rest of the concert! The energy was so crazy fun!! Her costumes were amazing and the set changes were awesome!! Not to mention how amazing her music is! I think she might actually be the only performer who sounds better live than on the radio!!
But after about the third song we realized that Lady Gaga liked to use lots of foul language just for the sake of using foul language. At one point she said that if we didn't like what she had to say we could "blanking" leave. We started feeling unwelcome.
While Jay and I were tempted to do what she said, and leave, we hadn't heard our favorite songs, and the money was already spent, so why not just stick it out. We did. But by the end we were beat! It was about 11:30 when the concert ended, way past my bedtime :)
Still it was a fun night, despite Lady Gaga's crazy antics. She is an amazing performer all around. Still we are pretty sure that we won't be going to any more Lady Gaga concerts in the near future. Sometimes you learn the hard way that TV censors alot of crude behavior and foul language.

What cracks me up is that one of the gifts Jay had gotten me (before the concert) was the Lady Gaga cd! We both had a laugh when I opened the gift. Were we on the same page or what?!!

Officially Full Term . . . AAAHHHH!

We are getting closer now, and it's crazy to think we will be a family of 3 very soon!!!  It's very scary and overwhelming. But I can't help but wonder what our little girl will look like!! Could our baby look like either of these babies?  . . .

Jay as a baby

Me as a baby

Let's face it, Jay was a much cuter baby than I was. Let's hope she looks like Jay!
